I think your daughter can go ahead applying for colleague/universities, after she gets admitted she can take a gap year or so waiting for the PR. Hopefully you guys can get PR within the one year and then she can get a loan and goes back to school.

Buddy you're panicking too early. It won't necessary happen to you. I don't understand how they choose people to do security check, might not related to anything like your nationality, travel or anything because my background is as clear as crystal but I still got chosen. Probably just random pick.

Nothing wrong. They just want to put us through this so they have more people to deal with refugees... Luckily I'm under master stream and i don't need my employer to sponsor me. So i got to keep my full time job here, but my work permit is expiring on July 13. No sure if i'll get PPR before...

33 months for me now. just hope they will send me PPR soon after they request a copy of my new passport. Anyone has similar experience?
