    May 2018 - Citizenship Applicants

Thanks @jangotrick! I am not worried. I was just curious. The agency I got my FP done with transferred the data electronically to the RCMP (She said "five minutes and it's done) and said that within 3-10 business days it should be with the IRCC. So I've got nothing to worry about. Thanks anyway...

Thanks so much for sharing. I got an appointment booked with them! So when I'm done there with the process, do they take care of everything from there on - as in, sending it to RCMP and IRCC?

Thanks @jangotrick for your prompt and valuable advice! I booked an appointment at a private agency locally which confirmed electronic information transfer to the RCMP. I'll update after my appointment on the experience! (Commissionaries wasn't available in/around me ~75 km) Hoping for the best.

Hello again. I'm from Kitchener - with one of the slowest CIC offices in the country. The application was IP since Aug 15 but today morning I received Fingerprint request. The letter has some scary text so should I be concerned/ worried or this is a standard template? I'm right now looking to...

Urgent/Important - I received a fingerprint request from CIC. Worried/ Concerned - is this normal? Also, can anyone advise which agency do go to for this one? Are private agencies better or should I go to the local police dept?

I think you and I are in the same boat. Mine went into processing on the 15th of August. I haven't called CIC ever but thinking of raising an ATIP online request to see if everything is normal

    Kitchener-Waterloo applicants

I am an applicant from Kitchener. My application has been IP since Aug 15, 2018. I have a friend from Waterloo who also applied and he has been IP since July 30, 2018. Kitchener office is relatively slow when compared to other offices like Montreal/ Ottawa, right?

I agree with you. Places like Ottawa/Montreal are known to be fast-processing centers. I know friends around in the KW region waiting since March and July respectively (In process since then) so I don't have any good hopes for me. (I went into processing in Aug).

Is there any April/May/June/July applicant here who has received a test-invite from Kitchener CIC? Curious.

Okay! And when did you receive the invite for the test? As in how many days/months after your application went IP?

Any word from Kitchener/Waterloo/Cambridge/Guelph applicants with IP from April-August 2018 about your test invites? Kitchener CIC is painfully slow? My application went into processing on Aug 15th and just wanted to understand the timelines. I have a friend with IP on July 30th waiting too.
