Hi KAS,
the section you are refering to is only for documents that are translated into English. Such translations need to be certified.
Documents which are in English, don't need to be certified.

For reference letters from Employer you need to send original letters.
For other supporting documents like payslip, etc u can send copies.
as stated in document checklist.

Arjun
Actually i haven't seen anywhere that says you need to give notarized copies. ( it is either Copies or Originals )
Infact I was talking to a Immigration consultant in Canada and he said I can send him Scanned copies over email
My understanding is you just need to send phot copies ( that is what...

Hi All,
I am planning to apply this year in 1123 category ( if it is opened ).
When do we expect to see the new List of eligible occupations from CIC.
I read somewhere it is 25th June, is that correct, or is it 1st July.
Regards,
Arjun
Points are not awarded for the type of post graduation, as long as you have words " Masters " or " Post Graduate " in your degree certificate and the total number of years of Education is more than 17. You will get 25 points
Hope this helps

Many Congrats to all the members who got there PR this year :)
My wife's file under 3113 got returned last year, I am thinking of applying under 1123/3113 this year ( if it opens up ).
had couple of questions:
1. Can I use my old PCC which I got in September last year.
2. All my documents...
There is a possibility of 1123 being included in the list.
Till last year there was no such NOC, this year they have split 1122 into 1122 & 1123

1. PCC is valid only for 6 months, so you will need to get a new one.
2. You don't really need any notary to attest the copies, the requirement document clearly states copies or original
3. Letter of Reference from old employer can be same, but make sure you get a new experience letter from...
Hi All,
Good to see this group.
I am also planning to apply this year.
Could not qualify last year because the CAP had reached by the time I sent my application.

Dear All,
Just wanted to share that I have received my package back and the reason stated was "Cap reached"
One thing is confirmed that the stats mentioned about the number of applications received on the CIC website are not accurate
as predicted by many.
because when my application was...
Dear Friends,
I am sure this has already been discussed on this forum.
There is a notice on CIC website http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/notices/notice-changes.asp
If you scroll down it says

Hi all,
This might be a very basic question.
After sending the file to CIC, how long do we need to wait to get any kind of response.
My application reached CIC on 30th dec ( NOC 3113 )
most likely I will not fall in the Cap, but still .
Does the CIC give any mail confirmation about the receipt...
Hi Farrukh,
I know that the status on CIC website is not accurate, but just took a chance.
I noticed ur application was received on 19th Sept, and it got returned.
Whereas the Cap was reached around Nov 20th.
So obviously there is a lag of about 2 months.

Hi All,
My application was received by G. Miller on 30-Dec
I am not sure if I will meet the Cap as it is already at 450 :-(
But any case what are the next steps. Will I get any confirmation from CIC about the acceptance of my application.
How much time does it take to get any update .
