Things are progressing fast indeed. More good news today - my hubby received the PR landing letter today, and we have been informed that we have an interview on June 27th!! The new process has definitely sped things up!

I used the old format, Jiro... the new format was released a couple of weeks after my rep sent things in. I myself am truly amazed at how quickly things have progressed! Thank you for the kind wishes from all on the forum!

Thanks Jiro! When I asked my representative, she didn't seem to know for sure whether we were at AIP or DM, so maybe the new process that speeds things up has a bit of an overlap between the two statuses. Now praying for a PR letter to come soon to carry the momentum!

That's quite right, itsats. I have a representative and she gets the updates on my behalf, but I still follow status on eCAS - either me or my spouse can login in using the application number, last name, date of birth, place of birth. It's not a lot of detail, but still lets me know about...

Thanks sylvain1! AIP means they're still doing background checks, etc? And does a landing appointment letter always mean a meeting with CIC? and ... is it usually with the sponsored partner only or both?
