Thanks. I would have to write to local office to move the oath date as have wedding to go to in India. Do you think there could be issues in moving the oath date?

I passed the citizenship test today at Scarborough office and got the oath date of Jan 9th :) I am traveling to India a week after would I still be able to travel with an indian passport or I need to move the oath date? Thanks

Does any one knows what happens to the file when it reaches local office? How long does it takes to get a test invite after it gets to the local office? My file is in the local office for more than a month but no updates. Thanks

My timeline is the same and the application is for my spouse and myself. Local office is Scarborough. Hopefully we will get the test invite soon.

Call center is only there for making inquiries about your application. I do not think that calling them would have an affect on the processing time of the application. The point I am trying to make is that the CIC agents should be better trained on content and customer service.

Called CIC and was told that my file is in Scarborough. Said takes 24 months to process so you are wasting your time calling us now. I said some people got theirs in 6 months, to which the agent replied it takes 48 months for some. These people should get some training on customer service IMHO
