According to my GCMS notes due date for my application is 02/25 which is Saturday, so tomorrow I hope for some update (maybe PPR?) :D

In some provinces it's not a statutory holiday. For example in BC Family day was last Monday. Also I think that VO in other countries are working as usual.

I've read somewhere that they send out PPR requests in batches meaning that they wait until they have certain amount of applications approved and then they send out PPRs to all of them rather than doing this one by one. Did anyone gather any statistics on how often do they usually do this PPR...

Well some VO may be more busy than others. E.g. in the spreadsheet I saw a lot of applications from India, but not so much from Europe. This may mean that applications from Europe will be processed a bit faster. That's why I'm wondering if inland application will be processed in Canada or home...
