Simple answer...no. Owing to Inland normal processing times, you could have your OWP and only have your AOR...in fact prior to the streamlining that was quite normal.

The problem was bex, no-one knew, they only announced the programs implementation after the date had passed (probably to stop people like yourself flooding them with a deluge of applications before cut-off) so it is definitely not something to beat yourself up about, going could have, should...

sanMUG, It's up to you, personally we did it as it looked like we MAY be in the streamlining, and anything that swung the decision seemed a good idea. BUT if you do decide to do them now, owing to when you filed your application, you will not benefit from streamlining...only applications...

Just an update...I choose to do my medical upfront AFTER I had submitted my application, as you can see from the profile I did the medical on 22nd july and submitted a PDF copy of the report (I still have the original that was meant for IRCC) on the 23rd July as an attachment on a CSE...

I realize certain reports of Work Permits being authorized have thrown the timings out a bit..but in general, 110 days has been around when the vast majority of posters have seen their permits. I personally expect mine to come around the 21st of Sept...and am not getting excited in anyway prior...

Your totally safe, goes on date of application, not date of issue, you applied before dec 22nd this year, so you are entitled if they did discontinue it.

I did work on implied status on my employer-specific work permit 2 years ago, it was no problem, the Canadian government still took their money. I would say the only time you would have serious issues would be in a new tax year from the one that the SIN expired in...even then if Canadian Revenue...

Option 3...when you get the OWP it also confers the right of temporary residency..so an additional TRV is not required.

I'm confused here fella, going on your previous posts..you stated your application was accepted on January 11th and you had AIP on July the 13th, yet you only applied for a OWP on May 11th...In the nicest way possible you have probably wasted the fee as Decision made for you should be anytime...

That is...quite frankly...disgusting. One of the worst cases of processing incompetence that holds up and jeopardizes an application I have ever read. The advice already given is the best, complete a CSE, and state your case....I would actually be tempted to also write a letter and send it in...

Could it be, you applied for PR end of March, so you benefit from the 4 month max processing, even though your OWP got there on May the 25th, they have honored your march application date...and did you out of line...in fact your processing is late if we base it on end of March (approx 148...

I'm covering a few posters questions/comments in this post so bear with me. Firstly WP-EXT on the OWP means Work Permit Extension, you had a valid permit at the time, which you could work with..(Study permit allows work) so your OWP is an EXTENSION of the right to work in Canada, it is...
