    October 11th 2017 - Citizenship Applicants under 3/5 rule

I dated 11 October. I believe dating 12 October but mailing out today would cause a refusal. So if you want to date 12 October, you should mail it out tomorrow.

    October 11th 2017 - Citizenship Applicants under 3/5 rule

I put their call center number, just as a placeholder. I don't see any reason why FedEx would try to call the number. Usually, they only call when unable to locate the recipient, which is extremely unlikely for mails going to a government building.

PR Card may be required under new citizenship rules!

I called CIC this morning (Oct 11th, 2017) about whether photocopy of PR Card is required, because the checklist does not mention it while the Instruction Guide says it is needed. The agent told me the following: "You should include a copy of your PR Card if you have one". I'm not sure whether...

    Citizenship Applications after Bill C-6

Yes, I also asked about the form and was told it is a known technical issue and they are working on it. Unfortunately there is no ETA, I was suggested to try again in "a few hours".

    Bill C-6: Senate stage

I'm on the same boat but have not yet found a firm answer either. A coworker of mine, who applied in 2015 right before C-24 come into force, filled the name on PR Card in Q3.A and left Q3.B blank. She also attached a letter explaining the situation along with all name change documents. Her...

    Bill C-6: Senate stage

I don't think they have mentioned a vote before the ongoing break, it may be one of the following: 1. A vote later this day, which is actually happening now. It is for C-4. 2. A Royal Assent ceremony before the break, which sounds like a public relation event with photograph sessions on...

Bill C-6, Messages between the HoC and the Senate, FACTS ONLY

Unfortunately no... The transaction clauses say that the old rule still applies to applications received before it comes into effect. Say 3/5 rule comes into effect at YYYY-MM-DD, 4/6 rule applies to all applications received before YYYY-MM-DD, even if C-6 has passed and received royal assent.

    Bill C-6: Senate stage

I think C-4 is quite different from C-6. The government completely rejected Senate's amendments on C-4; while accepted most of the amendments on C-6. C-4 is quite likely be send back to HoC for more amendments, while C-6 would most like pass the Senate without further amendments. C-7 was in a...
