Hello Eveyone, For those who have done or are in the process of spouse sponsorship I would like to know if you used a consulting agency? If so how much did they charge?

The leniency comes from the fact that while one is at home the other is still working working putting the proverbial bread on the table. It makes perfect logic as one runs the risk of turning away perfectly good new comers to Canada :)

Call and send an e-mail in order to set up a paper trail to demonstrate actual intent in clearing up matters in your case. Requesting your CAIPS and or FOSS notes may be a step in the right direction too!

Why not try an immigration consultant practising within Canada who specializes in the specifics of your situation rather then an immigration lawyer who at times are just generalists. If you need any further assistance let me know and or drop a line.

In respects to your questions - In a simple world "NO" you are in Canada on a tourist Visa and are unable to legally work.

I agree! You should invite them to come to Canada for a visit or meet in a third party country. Though, it depends where in the world you are a refugee from. I have some acquaintances that came to Canada as refugees from Kosovo and have gone back many times now. Let me know if you need any more help

Hello Motek, Indeed Ashi87 is right if one is inside Canada then one can order it under access to information etc. Where as if one is outside one can have a family member who lives in Canada order the notes and or go through a firm that specializes in these matters as well as interpretation...
