Did you mean that you could not link the application in your account, or you did not receive AOR at all? My husband did not get any email about AOR but we were able to link the application in the CIC account. He got AOR letter in the account.

Hello, there was only one update after he got OWP, saying that the background check is in process now. Nothing else. It seems that the check is still ongoing as that line stays the same after he received medical request message.

It is in my signature- Jan 2018 applicant, AOR Feb 14.

My husband just got medical request today. Yay one step closer to getting PR!

Google how to get a SIN number and it will have the checklist of what you need to bring and there will also be locator to tell you which centre to visit.

The timeline varies from individual to individual, and location also plays a role. Take a look at the tracking sheet and you will see that one month is not really for you to start "freaking out". Don't worry, you may receive notification from them soon.

Wow congratulations!! Oath letter the next day of Decision? It seems that Mississauga is way more efficient than Scarborough in terms of oath invites.

As you can see from other posts you are not the only one waiting. There must be people out there who don't come on this forum but are in the same boat. I understand it is frustrating, but that does not help much. Just stay hopeful!

I went for my test on May 17th, the test and interview went pretty smoothly. I just saw that the system has changed to DM today.

The 5-week timeline does not apply to OWP under sponsorship. It usually takes about 2-3 months. Did your lawyer explain why you should not link your profile online?

I am the sponsor and my husband never received the email for AOR. It is okay, as long as you are able to link the application online.

Do we really have to take out the negative emotions on each other? I believe everyone comes here to seek / offer help, and name calling isn't achieving our purpose.

You will have implied status if you applied for extension of visitor visa when you had valid status (before expiry), not because of the OWP. You should contact Immigration directly and ask for suggestions.
