Yes you can travel without your Canadian passport after taking the Oath

My guess is that if you don't have a visa-free passport, the airline company just won't let you board the plane. And I doubt that showing them an authorization they never heard of would help in any way. So granting the authorization to people without a visa-free passport would just be useless.....

    Leaving Canada after citizenship ceremony

You can leave with your current foreign passport just after the oath..... .... but you won't be able to return to Canada. Actually as soon as you are Canadian, you need a valid Canadian passport to re-enter Canada. It seems that they are ways to get a travel document from abroad in case you...

Do I need a US Visa for a non-paid tech conference as a Canadian Citizen?

Just say that we will attend a conference. No need to lie, but be sure to never mention the word "work" or something impling that you will be working there.

what is the processing time for the canadian citizen ship?

Better call IRCC or use the web-form, this is the proper way to go first.

    FingerPrints Digital/Electronically/Paper Outside Canada

Yeah, sending FP from outside Canada is already not really "by the book". In your case the only listed solution is through a FP company. So personally I would go this way unless you like to gamble. You may check with RCMP though, maybe they will tell you it is OK. And yes it is usual for RCMP...

Finger prints lost in Canada post mail

Maybe double confirm that RCMP didn't send the results to the IRCC instead of your home address. If not, then I guess you should redo the FP. And maybe this time tell the police or fingerprint company to ask RCMP to send the results direclty to IRCC (the address mentioned on the mail you received).

    Withdrawal

Yes it will work. However I would suggest that you tell them you want to withdraw and if possible with a reason. I see several benefits: * In case you want to apply again in the future, they will have trace of your first application. So better to show them that your treat the application...

    January 2018 - Citizenship Applications

Yep you're right. You can also check your ECAS regularly, just to make sure you don't miss the e-mail.

    January 2018 - Citizenship Applications

Between 1 day and several years... Well typically it is a matter of days. You can check the spread sheet (link on page 1 of this thread) to compare with real timelines.

Anyone done their fingerprints from outside Canada?

Yes. You need to get them by ink then send them by mail to an accredited fingerprint company in Canada. In which country are you?

Concerns regarding Employer(Huawei) and Citizenship - Kindly advice!

I believe that there should not be any issue. IRCC is mostly interested at checking that you meet the physical presence, were not condemn for anything and is able to speak one of the official languages. Working at Huawei does not make you a criminal (unless you are actually spying ;) ). Anyway...

    Fingerprints

Regular mail. However, an entry will appear on ecas when they request something but without any details. so you need to get the mail to know what was requested.

Fingerprint request and no way out.

Still I believe that you should try to contact IRCC just in case.

Fingerprint request and no way out.

That’s what they told me back in July. I called them one week after my fingerprints were sent to check if they did receive them. They didn’t know as it takes time for them to open and process the results. But they told me that they were likely to have recieve the results and in the unlikely...

Fingerprint request and no way out.

Normally after the 30 days deadline, they will send you a second letter with a second 30 days notice. It’s only once the second 30 days are elapsed that they will cancel your application. So it would be better to be able to reach them. But in case it doesn’t work, your application will still be...

Fingerprint request and no way out.

In which country are you? Fingerprints can be taken abroad. You need to have them taken by ink and then sent to a fingerprint company in Canada. The fingerprint company will then digitalize them and send them to RCMP. Some infos here (related to PR but it it basically the same)...

How to know that finger print been received by cic

    4) Use the web-form to contact IRCC. 5) Contact RCMP to now if they have sent the results already. They are quick to respond, but afterwards you are not 100% sure that the mail containing the results was actually received by IRCC (maybe 99.9% percent sure ;)).

    First Passport

Just to to passport office with all required documents and tell them you need your passport for December 14th as your flight is the next day. They will just set the right processing time: 7 days in your case. As it is less than 10 days, you need to pay an extra 50$ for express processing, but...

    Travel document - outside Canada

You're too late to ask for a PR card as the minimum processing time is 3 weeks. So yes PRTD is the only safe solution, I guess. An other solution would be to come back to Canada by land. Normally the CoPR is enough to cross the border from the US. So on your way back, first land in the US then...
