One more thing, did you check with your consultant regarding this? 6 weeks is the cuurrent visa processing time and in your case that time has elapsed. You can cross check with your consultant or drop an email to embassy to check regarding the same.

Did you apply online or offline and when? If you did it offline then wait for 14 days to get the acknowledgement letter from the Immigration office. You application number and UCI will be mentioned in that.

Why Didn't you apply under University Category? I don't know if that has anything to do with the delay, just curious to know.

I am going to Royal Roads University as well. I applied on 11th Sep 2018 via Vfs Delhi. I got approval mail on 19 Oct 2018.

I applied under the University Category.

Wait for 14 days for the 1st acknowledgement mail. You should recieve one around 29 Oct. Keep checking the email that you mentioned in the form.

Don't worry Rishabh. As per my understanding, it is not like that they will update status first and then they will start the review. The review happens in the background and the status can be updated anytime. So, relax and hope for the best.

Yes, it is a sequential process. Last week, people who had applied a week before me, got visa last friday and this week I got it. So, next week you should get a resposne from them for sure. Wait for Thursday/ Friday. Goodluck

No, I don't think your assumption is right. I went for the paper based application via Vfs. I received the application number and UCI in the 1st acknowledgement mail. I could have used these 2 details to create an online account and map n track my application. But I didn't do it.
