Within 39 years in Canada you most likely recognized that the Canadian government isn't treating their citizen much better than immigrants in certain aspects. Do you agree? So there's a smooth transition from one state to the other... mike

Application Lost!!! (Any suggestions will be highly appreciated)

Here's my general reco, every time you send something away, you make a 1:1 copy of everything and store it in a safe place. When it is received, file it (or throw it away). That's what I am doing and this way it is easy to reference and/or restore something lost. It needs some discipline though...

from july 2 passports will be issued by CIC

Well, technically you can enter with a valid visa or if you are from a country with visa waiver programs with you foreign passport. But believe me they'll most likely find out that you are Canadian citizen and you will become the target for some scrutiny. I would not give it a chance. And...

    PR for 20 years

I have a colleague, born and citizen of the UK (white male, NO offense!), had to take language test for PR. For your language proof, correct me if I am wrong, I think you need to obtain your diploma proof in a sealed envelope from the institution and send this unopened to CIC. This at least was...

    Citizenship Judge charged with theft

With that, whatever party is in charge can bend and twist law(s) to their favor, e.g. securing voters. With a majority of the population rather not wanting to see more immigrants this becomes a questionable practice. mike

http://www.thestar.com/news/crime/2013/05/02/excitizenship_judge_charged_with_theft_of_test_papers.html I've heard rumors that this right now causes further delays in ON because a lot cases are looked at and verified a second time... Maybe that's the case for us since we didn't hear anything...

Well, your contribution to this discussion shows your intellect... delay in citizenship recognised by govt

Are you really that naiv or blind not to see surgeons driving taxi in Toronto and engineers with 30+ years of experience in their field being scrutinized and yet have to go to school again to be able to practise in their field of competence? Don't you know that there's a law in ON and a very...

delay in citizenship recognised by govt

Where do you want to draw the line? On the father who can't find a job in Canada because his engineering degree or surgeon record is not recognized and credited so he takes the hardship of leaving his family to work abroad to gain some income or on the spouse who goes back to India to support...

delay in citizenship recognised by govt

The typical reaction of someone being out of arguments. Well again for you: The demographic numbers YOU referred to show that the majority of new Canadians are coming from third world countries. Fact is the processing times increased dramatically over the past few years, actually since the...

delay in citizenship recognised by govt

You answered it yourself. Exactly these data I am referring to. I thought, one would be smart enough to see the effect of increased processing time has to these numbers. And I don't accuse the government of being 'selective'. The other part of the demographic data I am referring to is a bit...

delay in citizenship recognised by govt

Well, you don't, especially you don't have a say where your tax dollars are wasted since you cannot vote out a tax wasting government. And you don't get it in one or two you might get it in four when a RQ is issued to you. Well, you know why, look at the demographic numbers... The question is...
