Can it happen that someone clears the eligibility but their account status says we are processing your application and will let you know when we start your background check (message we get at IP1)

Does your cic profile day that they are doing your background check? As in do they update our profiles as well or we should call them to be surprised

Is that right? My doc status says we don’t need additional documents. I can’t remember if it said anything else earlier and got updated sometime in between. But as of today day it says we don’t need any additional docs. Does that signify that eligibility is cleared?

You can call at ‭+1 (613) 944-4000‬. It will reach an IVR that will redirect you to IRCC. You could try google hangout, coz the wait time is generally about 30-40 minutes

I’m in the same boat too. AoR - 29th March, meds cleared and IP1 - 7th April. FSW-O. No update since then. Just a long wait

Congratulations and great timeline. I’m sitting with similar timelines but still stuck at IP1. But your case gives me hope that my file too will move soon. Your status in CIC account will say updated. The final decision field will say we have approved your file only when your passport gets stamped.

Generally the passports are dispatched the next day for VFS after stamping. So check with them tomorrow and they should have it. All the best and congratulations
