I agree with you. I could be wrong. I just didn't want to take any chance with 1 year old PCC. That's the reason, I applied for a new one.

Just to update this thread with latest information. I contacted BLS Office and they mentioned that PCC is valid for only 6 months, whether you left Canada or not. If your PCC is more than 6 months old, Time to get a new one.
