why do i need to have a letter signed by my employer for this? can't i just submit it at my own with the additional documents?

hmm..or i was thinking of sending them the other half of the pay-stub for each month with the explanation letter? would it be enough?

yup, there is no doubt that i coverd up the gap. But when i joined back for say on June 23,2014 my pay stub for that period only contained 24 hours i.e. 3 days but i still worked for the whole week but those hours were added to my next pay stub. I don't know if they will understand it or not...

I think it also depends upon the mood of the visa officer and our luck too..... Rest we will get to know at the time when we will get our own work permit...
