I recently came across a case where AI denied boarding by saying you are not allowed to travel more than 2-3 weeks prior to start of your studies. So, AI is behaving as if they are working for immigration dept. P.s. A guy with a supporting letter from University.

Buddy, what I understand is that it is about taking chances only. I have not heard that any international student with GIC is deported back from Canada. So, if we can crack AI somehow then probability of entering Canada is very high.

This letter is the most important document at this point of time. However, you need to meet other criteria such as travel exemption and not travelling before 3 weeks of university start date.
