Thank you guys for your suggestions on the passport issue. I will work on getting it renewed at the earliest. I plan to get a new account opened with revised name and address in a govt bank(SBBJ state bank of Bikaner and Jaipur) and based on that apply for a new passport. Hope that should work!

Quick question! My file no is between 5500 and 6000. The quata for 2016 is 5500. What if 5500 applicants accept nominations before my file number? Will they not send nomination to me or will they keep me for 2017? But our file number starts with 160xxxx so it should be for 2016??
