I got similar scores last year..... then my listening improved .... I got 8.5 and 9 as well.... but writing dropped to 6.5.... I have a feeling these guys mark u down I. Writing if ur rest of the scores are good

I have taken ielts multiple times..... have written formal as well informal letters. All of them start with dear ... dear is clearly mentioned in question paper stating... you can start your letter as Dear......,

You are right. My last ielts test was pretty simple... letter to friend (informal) and essay was also simple ( not asking for any opinion) I was sure that i’ll Get more than 7 ... but I got 6.5.... I don’t know what is the criteria for marking. Anyways let’s wait for 19th. Let’s hope all of us...

May be you are correct. I have written informal letter... I might loose marks here I have started the letter as : it has been so long since we last met..... and ended as see you soon!
