    National Nursing Assessment Centre NNAS

This is the excuse NNAS gives when people are unhappy with their assessment. This is the excuse they even give American educated nurses when they are deemed 'non-comparable'. The purpose of NNAS sadly, is to get money from foreigners despite knowing that the result (in most cases) will be...

Unfortunately, it is more likely that her education will be deemed "non-comparable". I've heard of a few nurses who were educated (Bachelors) in Philippines who were deemed "somewhat comparable", but there are very few. The NNAS process will likely take longer since she is well educated but...

    National Nursing Assessment Centre NNAS

NNAS does not consider whether you have nursing work experience or not. They are ONLY responsible for evaluating your education. Experience doesn't factor in at all. NNAS will likely evaluate your nursing education and deem you "non-comparable" to Canadian nursing education. Then you will...

Waiting 30 minutes for CNO is amazing--usually the wait is hours, so consider yourself lucky. It could be weeks before you get a call back so please call as often as you can to see if you can get a real person on the phone. Also keep logging in to see if someone resolved it but didn't bother...

You need to apply to NNAS and will be applying in reference to your nursing education from Nigeria. NNAS only evaluates nursing education, not experience. The licensing body may later evaluate your experience, but they won't even touch your paperwork until you have gone through NNAS first.

    National Nursing Assessment Centre NNAS

NNAS does not assess nursing work experience. They ONLY assess your nursing education. The provincial licensing body will be interested in your nursing work experience AFTER you have completed NNAS. There is no way for you to become a nurse in Canada without going through the NNAS process...

Where did you get your nursing education? You have to apply to NNAS, just like any other internationally trained nurse. Whether you were trained in the USA, Ghana, India, Australia or Ivory Coast, the process is the same. So you'll have to pay the money so that an American non-nurse in Philly...

It's really hard to be admitted--very few spots. I would recommend not relying on getting in. Many have chosen to start their BScN all over again in Canada rather than wait to get into the IEN course. BScN is 4 years. IEN course is 2 years but it could take 2 years or more (or never!) to get in.

You're going to want to read this whole string of posts. There is a lot here, but trust me, it will be worth your time because it will help you to decide if this is something you want to put yourself through and also let you know ahead of the difficulties so that you are fully informed before...

It's an open-book exam. It is the easiest exam involved in this whole licensing process, in the sense that it is open-book and if you read the materials ahead of time and use common sense, you will be successful.

But it doesn't matter for the actual NNAS assessment. NNAS does not assess based on any criteria related to work experience. Only based on education.
