Thanks for the link. I have already gone through dat...but it says timeframe is upto 6 months. & mine is stucked from last 1 year & 8 months. So any idea why this much delay ?

Our case is currently pending background check. I have lived in two countries, and the current status according to the consulate is that the case is in background check. It was like this for 1 year 8 months now. I have a clean record. Any idea what is the average time for a background check...

Thanks for your quick reply. But all I am concerned is why is it taking 1.5 years to do a crininality check. If still my name gets matched with some criminal..lol which is not, they can figure out within a spam time of 1 year. But more then 1 year doesnt make any sense to me.

I don't think under 18 need any kind of PCC. I have applied passport for my new born daughter, bt PCC wasn't been asked. So i believe you should double check.
