You will be sending photocopies. they do not require original unless they specifically ask for it. you will have to fill out and submit the schedule A form after your application is received by IRCC, that form takes your educational history also. they do not need any educational documents...

I took a screenshot on the CRA website where it gives you the option to change marital status. it displays your spouse name there and the date since he became your spouse.

I updated my spouse on my employment benefits beneficiaries and also updated on CRA online account to married and put my spouse name. These are the two things i sent. if you are with your spouse, you can also see if you can open a joint account at any bank. it should be easy to do.
