Yes, I'm on a closed WP. My employer never mentioned it to me. So Don't know anything about it. The PNP people called to varify my employment. Not sure if the CIC people call the employer or not. Is it part of the BG check?

File received: Sep 22, 2016 AOR: Dec 22, 2016 Upfront MR: July 2017. Everything passed except THE security/BG... Anything else???? Waiting for nothing.. I mean PPR...Very frustrated..

I thought your AOR date is April 27. Then it would be couple days earlier of your AOR date. Don't even think of doing Upfront. We regret after doing upfront. It makes thing even slower as they need to extend it for some weired reason. My upfront medical is still valid for another 4 months but...

APRIL 25 or 26. Believe me... :)

I had the same question to cic- WHY? The answer for WHY is- "We can't tell you why but we can tell you that you just have to wait while we are doing your BG Checking". No doc request or nothing.

Called CIC today. BG still in process. My application will be 18 months on March 22. They told me that it's "very likely" that my application could pass the 18 months processing time. Scared and very frustrated....

Still waiting.....

I like your idea- not to call them. They don't do/can't do anything when you call them. I did the the same thing like you until last week. When I called last week, the agent asked my address to confirm the identity and she was reading one of my previous addresses where I stayed back in 4 years...

How do you call them guys? Every time i call them, can not be completed.....Its very hard to reach them. I call 1-888-242-2100 and then press, 1, 1, 2.... Is there any other option to reach them easily? Thanks

Here in Canada since 2009. Have graduated and now working. Been out of Canada for 1 month in last 9 years. Parents of 2 citizen babies.... But still they are taking ages to do the security clearance. Can not do the math... so unfair...

The rain has stopped I guess but no drop here. Waiting for another day, week, month or a decade. Who knows....!!!
