Reading messages like this make me feel hopeful. I got the same reply to a web form query which said that my file needs additional verifications. My eligibility has been met since November and background checks have not begun. It has already been 7 and a half months & will complete my 8th month...

I doubt theres going to be any PPR rain. Although I'm trying to be hopeful, it looks like applications from Jan and Feb are already getting PPR and processed faster. So if there is so much backlog as they're saying wouldn't theirs be delayed too. I think it's just going to be 1-2 PPR's trickling...

How do I do that & how long will it take to receive it?

This entire thing is so disheartening. Been waiting for more than 7 months and nothing has changed. Does additional verification mean review required or security screening? According to my gcms notes and the call centre agent, eligibility was met long ago.

AOR October 2, FSW-O. Still in IP1 too. Called Cic and they said that they have already sent a reminder to the case officer and he has 30 days to reply to their reminder mail about why the application is not moving. *facepalm* This is going nowhere.
