It will take about 13-20 days, after they receive your application at CIC, NS. As per this forums advice, I called the credit card and put a note that I will be expecting a 1200+ charge in the next month or so. In my opinion, credit card is easy and best to track!! All the best.

CIO received my application on Mar 30, 2012 as per Canada Post signature confirmation. My credit card hasn't been charged and received no email from CIO. I assume, CIO sends an AOR email when they charge the credit card!!
