Just an update. I went to Scotiabank today and inquired about my credit card. The teller said I don't have to make any deposit and I can use it as a regular VISA card. It's a SCENE VISA card, just for those who are interested in getting one. Happy weekend, everyone!

Thanks for your replies guys! I do remember signing up to 3 accounts, 2 of which were deposit services. So far, I received a SCENE card and a debit card. I'm still waiting for the 'secured' credit card with a credit limit of 500 CAD. I think it's different from the debit card, so I don't need...

Re: Reference Letter @ POE I think it's included in the paper-based checklist, I used it for my online application though. I had a friend signed an affidavit-like letter of sponsorship as part of my proof of funding/support.

Re: Reference Letter @ POE IMM1346 is the visa counterfoil affixed to the passport when returned from the embassy. It's like a sticker. The latter is a document (student permit)stapled to the passport by the immigration officer at the POE.

Re: Reference Letter @ POE You'll be needing your Letter of Admission, LOI and passport. Other than that, you just have to ready the documents deemed necessary and just provide what the Immigration Officer asks for. Best of luck! :)

Hi Doc! Hm Nareceived nila ung passport ko July 23rd, Tuesday at 5pm. Then nakuha ko siya ng Friday morning. Via VFS na siya nun. 640 for passport transmission fee and 310 for courier fee. All in manager's cheques. Good luck, Doc! Hahabol pa yan :)

Yep, patience nga kailangan. Yung sken June 19. Tumawag ako sknla July 19 kakapadala lang daw sakto katawag ko. Nagemail pa ko sa kanila nun na September pasok ko (in a nice way). Ayun, ok naman. Basta patience but still follow up at madaming prayers. All the best! Good luck po =)
