I think you could create your profile and then update it once you receive your wife's eca. Atleast you'll be in the pool. Rarest possibility that crs cut off would drop to 415. But life is unpredictable. Anyhow you would update your profile once you get her eca. That's my thought. Maybe experts...

Honestly speaking, ielts is the safest bet. Things can be in your hands with good practice. Infact aim for a CLB 10, you should be able to crack a CLB 9. Don't lose hope. Structured, regular and dedicated preparation is what you need.
