Totally makes sense. Even the visa issued people are getting trouble finding their passports back. Before it was a matter of 10 days to get the passport back but now it takes upto a month. Be patient. It will end soon. All the Best

I guess, you were not asked for submitting any documents.. right? If that is the case then it is good for you.. Because when they request for the document first time to complete the application then they put an hold for Criminality.. In your case it seems like your application just satisfied...
