I'd been advised that technically someone has implied status once application is submitted (unless of course, it is returned), please advise what is your source of information in regards to when someone officially has "implied status". Also, in this case, I believe they would need a visitor VISA...

Not necessarily a visa extension, if you aren't planning to leave Canada you can just get a visitor record.

I'm pretty sure they recently changed it, now you can provide it upfront with your application.

I called to find out what was going on, and I spoke with an agent who told me that he can see they have my application, but all I can do is wait for the AOR but that it probably won't be returned if it's in the system. Still waiting on my AOR but maybe you could try calling too

yes but what options to do you select to speak with an agent? it prompts me to enter my application number which I don't have.

How did you speak to an agent if you don't have an application number?

what did you use to check your application on ECAS? do you have a client id #?
