Yes, you have a point there. So he should select 2174 then. I have a related scenario in the case overlapping duties. Say you have a developer (2174) title and you are doing duties of both a developer and engineer/architect (2173), can you claim for engineer noc?

I have similar doubts. I have the initial impression that you have to select 2173 Software Engineer (CIC could filter by job title first, I'm not sure). Then if you put 2174 Software Developer but they will initially see your title having 'Engineer', it may raise a flag. I hope they don't...
