Congratulations on the PPR. It is interesting though, that how you applied towards the end of May and have received the PPR while there are many in the first half of May and plenty in April that are still waiting. I guess either some applications are simpler than the others or perhaps it depends...

It may not necessarily be a fake website. First answer this question: Are you in Canada? If you are in Canada, then you surely wasted your money but you may still get the notes back if the company is legitimate. A lot of people that are outside Canada utilize companies that file for GCMS notes...

Re: GCMS notes Ordering GCMS notes has a charge of $5 if you are currently outside the Canada and someone else is applying on your behalf (because you are outside Canada). If you are in Canada and applying for your self, there is no fee.

The only sure-shot way of finding out if your NOC Code and Job Duties match is to get GCMS notes (or passport request :) ). If your file has been assessed for job duties notes will mention if substantial number of job duties match the NOC code.

I do not see what else can you do beyond what you have already provided. Were you on LMO in the past? You can submit that as additional evidence for your NOC as that is what they need the detailed job description letter for primarily.

In my opinion, it depends on the nature of the averse information on police certificate. I know of a friend who was detained due to some immigration related mixup in US in the past. However, when the stuff was sorted out he was told to leave US. So his FBI check mentioned that detention. He...

I see a few people getting rcmp request along with or after the Medical. Is that quite common? The request for RCMP? Also, how long does it take to get that completed? Hopefully faster than the cursed FBI background check that takes 2-3 months.

Good news. From the flurry of activity (I guess you can call one update and one MR that with the way things were going previously), it seems that they are back from vacation and working on our applications now. Let's see who will be the first one to get passport request from all of us that have...

My doctor uploaded to Emed on 20th of December and it was reflected in ECAS a few days later. I would say just keep record/forms/receipts you received from the Doctor's office with you as proof. They will most likely update it once they get out of the holiday lull. You can shoot them an email...

Katie, They will ask you to pay Right of Permanent Resident Fee for you and any dependents on the application. Of course you have the option of paying it pre-emptively (upfront) rather than wait for their request. Once done with the RPRF you will be waiting for passport request if your...

Things seem to have slowed down considerably in the new year. Perhaps there was a big push to get a lot of applications completed by the end of last year. It should be second week back from holidays now. Hopefully they will build up some momentum soon.
