I feel what you're saying. They really need to consider other things. My husband and I really wanted to just do a Nikkah function because we felt islamically that was necessary, the plan for the Canadian function came after.

Did you specifically put Nikkah only on the forms or just kind of left it for them to figure out. Also, did you explain on your application that you intend to do a proper wedding function etc after pr? And ya it's become a big hassle now

Ya man, did you have the sacred royal "ruksati" though lol ? My nikah happened like a week before I flew back. Didn't really have the chance to think about all these extra things, it all happened suddenly. Literally prepared everything in 1 week lol.

Honestly they should just make everyone's life easier by specifically stating ruksati photos are a must, if they're going to be that anal about it. On the country specific instructions it's listed as reception OR ruksati. Why wait until the last stage to reject someone, pathetic.
