I think the answer that I posted are correct. Looks like the questions I doubted about are those that are wrong. Also, I think there are 2 different versions of listening.

As far as I know, at least 2 people should assess speaking and writing. But they all might be biased and have their own interpretations of marking criteria. Also, maybe in India it’s harder because more candidates take IELTS tests and the bar is raised?

May 11th IELTS candidates let's meet here

Speaking 8 Writing 7 My impression is that I got 8 mostly because of the fluency. My vocabulary wasn’t really so broad. I just spoke normally (actually faster than usual, the examiner kind of set the pace of the interview). Also, I totally forgot that I was supposed to show off grammatical and...

Just got results. Finally. Reached the target, so I do not have to retake this exam. To my surprise, listening is 8.5 (so I didn’t have more mistakes that I thought) And reading - 9!!! Unbelievable. Thank you everyone for support and help in the answers analysis. I hope everyone gets what...

If the standard marking scheme is used, then - Listening requires at least 35 correct answers for 8 band - Reading requires 34 correct answers for 7 band But I also found somewhere online that the scale might slightly vary depending on the difficulty of the test. If BC says the test is easy...

Tried to compile everything I remembered from listening (those are my answers and may be wrong). The order is probably different. I hope somebody can remember more and/or correct me. L1: 1. history 2. 14 (i actually put 10 as i didn't hear it and had to make a guess) 3. 480 4. 55, 5. June 6...

please estimate my last writing tasks. what band do you expect?

You should provide original task because 25% of the writing is task response. As fore the grammar, there are several mistakes that I noticed. For example, in the first sentence of the letter you wrote “appreciate for”. I think it is not correct, at least I have never heard someone saying or...

    IELTS Listening section question

Yes. You can start looking at questions once they say “now turn to section 1”. After that you can do what ever you want with question booklet. So, at the exam you can move on and read questions from the next section. But in my case there was always one questions that I missed in 1-10, 11-20...

As far as I know, taxi was mentioned in the text, but this is not what we were supposed to answer. Taxi is provided only under certain conditions, like: this is not a regular overtime, there is no public transport available... So, as far as I remember, we had to put “public transport” in the blank.
