I am in the same boat: my application was filed on April 17, and I received AOR on May 9; but since then no communications. My GCMS notes suggest that only criminality is in progress. I am also getting worried. Any plausible explanations for the delay? Any guess?

My first BOWP expires on May 23, and so I am currently thinking of applying for 2nd BOWP. I wonder if I apply now, then I will get one year extension from the day the first BOWP expires (May 23) or from the day the visa (2nd BOWP) is issued (Say late Feb)? Thanks in advance for your answer!

Given my experience, you'd have no problem re-entering Canada. As far as you can provide evidence that you have applied for work permit (such as a receipt of BOWP), they'll let you in.

A quick question for those who did upfront medical: Do we have to email CIC a copy of the receipt? If so, what information do we need to provide other than UMI number? Is this the right email address: CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca? Thanks in advance for responses!
