    April 2014 Application

Congrats!!! I've just received my GCMS notes issued on Jan 13, and unfortunately, NO PROGRESS at all. Still, only criminality is in progress. But given that CIC recently requested an additional document (my husband's birth certificate), there might have been some progress since I applied...

    April 2014 Application

Thanks. I hope it's a good sign. Hopefully CIC has started assessing eligibility of our applications.

    April 2014 Application

I suspect the CIC is still working (it's 11 pm Friday in Ottawa)?? I've just received an email from CIC requesting my husband's birth certificate (or his Canadian passport). Was it a requirement?? Anyway, I am glad to know that they finally started working on my file. FYI: My application...

    April 2014 Application

I understand your point, and I agree that it's probably not hard for him to track me down if he wants to. But to my understanding, as far as the posting is based on facts (as you know, I described my own experience) and there's public interest in distributing the information (I mentioned the...

    April 2014 Application

I deleted my post. Thanks guys for the advice. I am not sure if defamation charges will apply to information based on a fact, but I don't want to risk.

    April 2014 Application

Congrats! Have you ordered your GCMS notes? If so, would you mind sharing them (if there's anything you suspect could have delayed the process - i.e., belated MR request)? Thanks.

Apply for CEC, Express Entry or Spouse Sponsorship?

If you don't mind, would you please share your experience with the application under family sponsorship? I am married to a Canadian citizen, but I applied under CEC simply because I thought that CEC would be quicker. (I currently reside in Canada, and the current processing time stated on the...

    April 2014 Application

I am in the same boat: my application was filed on April 17, and I received AOR on May 9; but since then no communications. My GCMS notes suggest that only criminality is in progress. I am also getting worried. Any plausible explanations for the delay? Any guess?

Second BOWP with the same AOR?

My first BOWP expires on May 23, and so I am currently thinking of applying for 2nd BOWP. I wonder if I apply now, then I will get one year extension from the day the first BOWP expires (May 23) or from the day the visa (2nd BOWP) is issued (Say late Feb)? Thanks in advance for your answer!

Can I leave Canada while waiting for my BOWP?

Given my experience, you'd have no problem re-entering Canada. As far as you can provide evidence that you have applied for work permit (such as a receipt of BOWP), they'll let you in.

    April 2014 Application

A quick question for those who did upfront medical: Do we have to email CIC a copy of the receipt? If so, what information do we need to provide other than UMI number? Is this the right email address: CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca? Thanks in advance for responses!

    April 2014 Application

It's quite frustrating to learn that there's no progress. I also ordered mine about a week ago, will share the notes once received. I suspect that my old PCC might be the cause of the delay (my 1st GCMS notes suggest that VO assessed PCC from RCMP ("No Reportable Trace"), but not the one from...

    April 2014 Application

Any notes by VO? Unlike mine, yours suggests that the VO actually started eligibility assessment. Mine says "Eligibility: Not Started".

    April 2014 Application

Thanks for sharing your experience. As I've seen a couple of old posts saying that the applicants suspect their PCC was a cause of a long delay, I've suddenly become very worried. Would you recommend I should still send an updated PCC from the country of my origin without a request from CIC...

New CEC - Jan 2013 Applications

Would you mind telling me when you received CIC request of police certificate, and why you think you had to submit it twice? The process of my application has been delayed without no red flag in GCMS notes, and I suspect it has to do with one of my PCCs (it was a bit old -- more than 3 months...

    April 2014 Application

For those whose GCMS notes suggest eligibility review hasn't been started: I've put more thought into why my application has been delayed, and it just occurred to me that this might have to do with my PCCs. I submitted two PCCs -- one from RCMP Canada and the other from my country of origin...

    April 2014 Application

My timeline is very similar to yours, and the status of my application is exactly the same as yours: My application reached CIC on April 17, 2014, and I received AOR on May 9, 2014; I ordered GCMS notes on Dec 1, and eligibility review hasn't been started. As far as I remember, there's at...

Who waiting for MR for more than 8 months. Please join here

I am actually in the same situation. My application reached CIC on April 17, and received AOR on May 9. Today I received my GCMS notes, and my status is exactly the same as yours. Quite frustrating, but I suspect there's nothing much I can do about it.
