Also very important that I forgot to mention, your wife, at the moment of leaving, should not exceed 6 months of staying in Canada, as she is still a visitor until a decision is made.

Based on my experience, I left Canada for one week and I also have a visitor visa. I had no problem coming back. They just asked me what s the purpose of my visit and I said that I live here and I have an ongoing application. Hope it s helpful.

Hi guys, Just wanted to let you know that I have just received an e mail asking to pay the biometrics and send the payment receipt through web form until jan 5th. Once they process that info they ll let me know the next step, when and how to give them. Keep you posted

I did mine on Nov 8, received on 11 and passed medical on 18. Hope it helps!

Congrats! You should receive it via mail within 10 days to 2 weeks. I got mine today after having been e mailed on Nov 6th.

Thanks, I received an email stating that my app to stay in Canada as a temp resident has been approved and the permit has been mailed and that I should receive it the latest 6 weeks from the date of this letter.

Hi, I am an Aug 1st app and I cannot link my application either. I do not even have that ‘link your app’ option in my account and no luck in getting in touch with cic. I keep checking the online tool and still waiting for OWP. Thx, Marilena
