Urgent- Senior Members Please Advise: No AOR and no returned application

It took 88 days for me to receive the AOR email (which basically means I got entered in the system). While I was waiting, even people who had sent their application more than a month after me had received their AOR. I know it can be frustrating. But what can we do ? CIC is definitely not " first...

Urgent- Senior Members Please Advise: No AOR and no returned application

Your application is fine. If they return your application, you receive it within 3 or 4 weeks max. They open all the applications upon reception and check for completeness. If incomplete, your application is returned right away (thus you receive it within 3 -4 weeks or so). If it is complete...

    December 2014 citizenship applicants!

How so ? Suppose you take the oath on Canada Day (July 1st). You are eligible to apply for passport 2 days later (July 3rd). You apply for urgent processing (extra money) which will take a day or 2. Therefore you have your passport in your hands by July 6th the latest. At that point, your...

    December 2014 citizenship applicants!

Can somebody confirm that we just had our first Dec. applicant been issued an oath date for July 1st ? :D :D This is a bit fishy though, since CIC usually notifies 15-20 days prior, not 40 days... wd1, can you confirm that your info in the spreadsheet is correct or not ?

Citizenship Application lost by CIC, send out on Feb., 2015

It has been opened already. Just not acknowledged and entered in the system yet (therefore can't be tracked by a call center agent). They open all the applications and first check for completeness. The incomplete ones are returned right away (the applicant receives it back within 3 weeks or 1...

    forget to attach one doc

I suggest option 3: wait. Checking the completeness of applications is the first thing CIC does. Even before sending out acknowledgements (AOR). So if AORs take 3 weeks now, then returned applications should take much less (on or 2 weeks, not sure). In fact, according to what I have observed...

    forget to attach one doc

They send applications back pretty quicky (within 3 weeks). So if your application is deemed incomplete you'll receive it back by June 1st. If you don't see your application back in your mailbox by that time, then you are fine. Is it the signature page that you forgot to include ? If Yes then...
