Exactly. That's the definition of implied status. Notice that it talks about an extension of temporary residency (work, study, visit) and not filing a PR application. A request to become a PR does not grant you temporary residency status, hence not providing implied status.

Unfortunately there is no 100% chance, as they'll also check if the requirements on the LMIA match the applicant's skills, employment history etc. In any case, hope you get a positive one!
