There are close to 500 service canada accross country, it should be fairly quick serving those applications

I called IRCC, but the lady on the phone mentioned, there is no exception you can expect for inland CEC immigration applications waiting for biometrics from biometrics.. looks like there is no other way except for waiting on service canada to resume the operations

You mean the requirement for you to give biometrics for a PR, or an exception that allows you to not provide biometrics and still get tour PR processed ? if it’s the former it was not introduced in July ... it’s been there for a while ...as you may see from the forum people are waiting since...

is there a new rule, that the principal applicant need to have a spouse name in the passport for BLS to accept your application in the first place, looks like an evil "Backdated rule" which might hurt a lot of people and push them to apply changes in the passport in tatkal....

Hey All, is it mandatory to have your spouse's name included in your passport ? what if the passports were issued prior to the marriage ? is that a ground for rejections for the PR. i passed my medical exam and biometrics. does this mean i am thru this check. -Cheers, Kranthi

if its a different data base we would not be seeing this info on our PR application status page... so i find it extremely odd, since up until 2018 one never needed a bio metric to get your PR approved and now there are 40K people stuck on that step ... only increasing backlogs to IRCC, no idea...

best to write thru Web form and get a status update, or you can call IRCC and get a status update from an agent

I have a biometric number and the last date I gave biometrics in my status page and the expiry of those biometrics and a BIL they could have skipped for all those CEC stream at least since they already have them in the system it does not make sense
