Did you previously go to canada (TRV) and/or have your biometrics taken? If yes, then thats the reason why they didnt ask for a new one... Not sure on the last item but you may directly call vfs to be sure.

Based from what i saw in the forums, cpcm follows the review based on triage criteria, if the application doesnt meet all metrics - they automatically send it to local vo.. so it’s really case to case basis.

Usually it’s either they will request addtl docs or dm then ppr. Brace yourself tho that your time frame with mvo will either be fast or take few more months (even if bgc in progress alone will take a while)

Yup it’s normal. One reason why they didnt ask for biometrics - PA has trv or had previously come to canada (hence there was a previous record for bio). Or if none from the above, it’s just taking a while for the next update since it was moved to lvo Has your bgc started yet and which local...

Pre arrival provides free services (ie. online seminar) that could help prior to migrating to canada. You’ll be notified via mail. Similarly, passport request is being sent via email. Should be coming from the visa office (either sydney/cpcm/local vo)

Yup, please renew to avoid delays when you get the passport request email. It’s better to anticipate as early as now and let IRCC know about the update.
