After getting AIP and the same time, and received email transfering your file from local office, what is the average days they will contact you again for interview and finalization of your PR? Makes me decide if I will apply work permit or not. It's just another fee to pay.

Hi guys, just to let you know,this morning we got an email from CIC, we got our AIP, finally I can apply for OWP now.... Hayts after feeling like 20 yrs... Still long way to go but at least I can work soon.... The feeling is just immense and feel like crying... Thank you guys for advice....

Just frustrating, I understand the waiting difference with outland and inland, i also understand that outland is faster than inland, at the time of sending application we sign up for 6 -8 months waiting not 11-12 months waiting. Ggggggg.... During the transfer why they did not finish all...

Matt Think I answer this, They will not issue a health card until you are paying taxes. They will ask your status here in canada, so in my situation, my only option is to buy a health insurance.

Yup, we kind a wondering too and jealous for other's getting their AIP, we are thinking that since we are less than a year living together. We got married in May and start living together, then applied in July.

Sorry for making you confused, it's just the way they keep changing the waiting time (longer) and then when you call them for an update of your application they will tell you that you are still in the normal waiting time, well in fact that the usual time is 6-8 months.

No I have not, we called last week and they said we are still in a normal processing, which totally crap. The normal time is 6-8 weeks. Still patiently waiting, we are just waiting to finish voting here in Ontario to write our MP.
