    Yes I did my medicals in January and it took exactly 6 days to update in Gckey. But the biometric status updated on the same day. You better contact CIC and ask them whether they have received it. If not contact vfs, where u gave ur biometrics.

    Then it could be the letter requesting your Biometrics or medical. If you have linked your application to the online account then you should get it there, if not it will come by post. I don't have much knowledge about the online account.

    Yes, for file transfer you get a mail saying "We have forwarded your application to [Visa office name] for further processing". By the way, in which side has that "we sent you a letter" been displayed? is it in PA's side or Sponsor's side?

    Congratulations!!! If you think you can submit the passport within 30 days time frame after sightseeing, then do so. But If I were you I would submit my PP first and get it stamped, as it was a long waited process. Happy for you! and please do share your timeline... :)
