I don't teach at all so my experience is teaching. Also the code 4011 is not at all relevant to me so I went with 2133. But then again I haven't crossed the bridge yet. But from the posts I went through, it seems best to choose the code that fits your description as a post doc.

There was a post a long time back on this. Do a search on the forum with "postdoc". There was one who got his PR a few months back and posted his experience. Title of his post was "Post doc with T4A dont worry". I am also a post doc but my application is in process so can't give much advice.

No PPR, no response from CIC about medical results received, my circuits are not working, my programs are not working, my prof doesn't respond to my mails ... have this sinking feeling :'(

They take away your work permit when you land? My visa and work permit are valid till Feb 2015. I am not from a visa exempt country (India). So that means I would need a travel document for coming back to Canada by air? Because the visa would not be of any use without a work permit?

Just now I got my MR when I have already completed upfront medicals on April 17. I'll send another email to CPC-O with the emed sheet.

I applied October 28 received AOR Nov 29. Did my upfront medical on April 17. Emailed the emed info sheet to CPC-O. Called up clinic and they said results uploaded on April 22nd. Online status "Application received".

I am a post doc too in Electrical Engineering. I went with the NOC code 2133 for Electrical and Electronics Engineers. Check for the post "Post doc with T4A dont worry". He got his PR.

Congratulations too! I am a post doc and was doubtful about the NOC code 4122 and applied in NOC 2133 "Electrical and electronics engineer". Application is under process. Hoping for good news. But thank you for your post.

Actually would rather not do a medical exam while travelling. Doctor's offices make me depressed even if it is only a routine test. Should I request GCMS notes or anything else while in Toronto?
