Police history check from USA- advice needed

By the way, does anyone have any experience with when the FBI withdraws the payment for the application? Nothing has been withdrawn from my account yet, but when tracking down my post I can see that they should have received my application 20th of September

Police history check from USA- advice needed

Thanks for all of your information. Actually, I am not currently residing in the USA. Also, the police certificate is for my common law partner (that I will be sponsoring if I am successful), does this somehow change my situation? I thankfully did not need a police certificate from the U.S...

Police history check from USA- advice needed

That's good info about the two months. That means that they at least might be quicker than their quoted 3 months... I think I am wise with waiting out the EE profile for at least a little while then. Thanks a lot

Police history check from USA- advice needed

Hi there, I submitted a police history check for the U.S. a couple of weeks ago, including fingerprints and application form. I was shocked because on their website they stated that the application may take at least 12 weeks to proceed! Which is madness in comparison to the other countries I...

This is what I was thinking too. Because wouldn't Canadian immigration want it to be as recent as possible?

    Police certificates- in electronical form?

So from what I gather, when submitting police certificates to CiC, this needs to be done electronically online? So how do you work that out practically? Are police certificates issued electronically these days? In the past, I always seem to have received them on paper in the post. Please can...

Employment letters at your CURRENT job

Wow, that's interesting. I was thinking about giving them one main reason, but to also mention that I could need it for other purposes. After all, documenting your work experience never hurts and may be needed for various reasons. What about the timing, when did you request the reference letter...

Employment letters at your CURRENT job

Didn't they ask you more about what kind of visa application? I have thought about blaming my bank, that I am taking up some kind of loan or something e.g. mortgage. By the way I'm also working for a small company:) Thanks for your reply

Employment letters at your CURRENT job

Hey guys, I'm wondering if anyone is finding this as challenging as me, HOW and WHEN to ask for a reference letter from your CURRENT employer? If you are like me, you are not planning to leave this employer until you absolutely have to, such as when (and if) finally getting the chance to move...

    A question regarding obtaining funds

In the process of saving up the funds required to migrate through the Express Entry System, without having obtained a job offer. The hardest part with the savings is not necessarily to get hold of the money, but to not spend it on things I need right now. For instance, I really need a new...

    Points calculation

Thanks for the response. However, if we get married could I still list my spouse as non-accompanying in my application? I read some post from another forum member that got me confused/scared.

    Points calculation

I have a common law partner. However, I am not planning to include him in my application and rather, try with sponsorship later. Does this mean that my points are calculated based on "without common-law partner" and will not be reduced to the points mentioned under "with common-law partner"...

Police Certificate: When to apply exactly? Confused...

According to CiC website, Police certificates are generally considered to be valid for one year from date of issue. Are you sure about the "valid indefinitely" for countries abroad until you go back to live in that country again?

WES- please help me interpret this

I know it's confusing. I understand what WES mean, but my University issued my degree certificate in three pages, each page showing 1 out of three (for instance, page 1(3), 2(3), 3(3). I can imagine that just including 1 page out of the three wouldn't be sufficient in most cases. Page 2(3) is my...
