Ankara Visa Office Applicants Check in here! :)

PPR!!! I can't believe it! It was sent yesterday morning (April 4), but I didn't checked my emails until an hour ago. Now that's too much emotions before going to bed!

Ankara Visa Office Applicants Check in here! :)

In the past, Ankara wasn't processing a huge backlog of applications coming from Damascus. I have the feeling they've put all their resources on PR applications and that TRV applications have been put aside for a while...

Ankara Visa Office Applicants Check in here! :)

For sending a refusal letter, it takes them 1-2 days ;)

Ankara Visa Office Applicants Check in here! :)

I wouldn't call it kindness, but effectiveness. I live in French, I mostly work in English, I also most of the time use English on the Web because I don't want to live in a bubble with a limited set of people. French or not, Turkish or not, Farsi or not, one has to realize it's not always...

Ankara Visa Office Applicants Check in here! :)

Did I mention I'm happy with all the posts I can't read on the Damascus thread? I'm not Iranian, nor Turk, nor Afghani. I speak French, English and a bit of Turkish (because I travelled many times to Turkey). My husband is a Turkmen from Afghanistan living in Turkey. Our common language is...

Ankara Visa Office Applicants Check in here! :)

I use Google translation intensively, don't worry. Also, as my user name suggests, I know some Turkish. I was saying that for the majority of people here who are not Turk. There are already enough posts written in "Persian" on the Damascus thread, it would be nice to keep the Ankara thread...

You're probably the only one here able to read Turkish! You'd better write in English...

Ankara Visa Office Applicants Check in here! :)

No, no, the date you see at the bottom of the page is the last time the Web page code had been updated, not eCas data. Also, they mentionned eCas is updated on Tuesday, but according to what people wrote on the forum, it can be almost any time.

Ankara Visa Office Applicants Check in here! :)

Did you apply in the family class? If so, it's strange that they ask you to send them the CSQ because it's normally sent to the sponsor AND the visa office by Quebec. Anyway, did you contact Ankara VO using the case specific inquiry form on the Web...

Ankara Visa Office Applicants Check in here! :)

Hahaha! Fresh applicants are always so anxious to see their status changed to "In Process"! It goes without saying that closing the oldest files is what should be done in priority. Last year has been very hectic in Ankara (and all over CIC); therefore, you should feel blessed you won't have to...

Ankara Visa Office Applicants Check in here! :)

Ankara used to be one of the fastest visa offices (5, 6, 7 months) until it took over files from Damascus. Delays from the last twelve months were anything but normal. It just seems to me that things are coming back to normal over there...

I would contact the VO ASAP to ask if your husband has to get a new passport prior to getting his visa. For the six month validity, I don't know about airlines rules, but I know that many countries won't let one in if their passport is not valid for at least 6 months (Turkey being one of them)...

Can you please update the spreasheet? I'm tired of seeing my line in blue, I would much prefer light green ;)
