No need to be that rude, she was gently answering a question about Beirut office. Don't forget visa requests from Lebanon were formerly processed in Damascus too.

For what I understand, he is the sponsor but, for an unknown reason, didn't declare his brothers and sisters on his own application for becoming a PR.

What if, one day, one of your brothers or sisters wants to immigrate to Canada and declares having the same parents as you? Did you ever think about that?

I speak English, but it's not my mother tongue. My husband also speaks English, as well as four other languages, none of them being my mother tongue. The one in which he would be the most comfortable for an interview with a visa officer is not his mother tongue, nor is it English. Hence, he...

I've never read anywhere that requiring an interpreter would lead to being charged additional fees; this is included in the normal processing fees. Also, in family class sponsorship, people are not expected to speak English nor French. The VO has to provide an interpreter for the interview if...

There are quotas for Federal Skilled Worker Program, but I've never heard anything similar for family class sponsorship. As far as I know, the latter is a priority, so they probably process as many as they can, even though the processing will always be too slow for our taste!

Only a few VO process the medical test results. While her application will be processed in Ankara, her medical test results will be processed in Paris, that's normal.

Police certificate - Impossible to obtain from Afghanistan

The last time I checked, CIC website was providing (outdated) information about how to get a police certificate from Afghanistan. We got more accurate information by calling three Afghan consulates (Ottawa, Istanbul, Ankara). Hmmm, let me check again... CIC website still offers the same...

Police certificate - Impossible to obtain from Afghanistan

Don't they just request police certificates from the 10 years prior to the immigration request? According to your timeline, getting a police certificate from the 80's was not needed, so getting it or not wouldn't have changed anything. Am I right? In our case, the missing police certificate is...

Police certificate - Impossible to obtain from Afghanistan

Getting the police certificate from Turkey, where he's been living for the last 6 years, was really easy. Afghanistan...
