I have recieved my PER on 28 Jan, 2015. Should I go ahead and apply for PCC now? I believe getting an appointment at Passport Office will take 2-3 weeks. How long will the PCC be valid?

Hi Sarathuob, NDVO does not issue PER. CIO (Sydney, Canada) issues PER. Once you receive PER, your file gets transferred to your respective visa office (NDVO in our case). Once NDVO receives your file, they do background verification and decide whether they wish to conduct a visa interview...

I wish I knew the answer to this as I am sailing in the same boat like you. But I had read somewhere in the forum that it should be around 2 months from the time we receive PER..

Congrats buddy.. Its good to see NOC 0112 people getting PER.. I am in the queue too ;D Our timelines are very similar.. My appl recd. date was 27th October, 2014 and DD encash date was 5 Jan 2015... So, going by your timelines, I should receive my PER on 29 Jan 2015 :D

Hey buddy, how did you check your ECAS status? I believe you don't get your UCI number till you get PER, right? My DD has been encashed on 5 Jan, 2015 and I am waiting for my PER.
