I called IRCC today inquiring about my application submitted on april 16. I have not received an Application number but they told me they are doing criminal check for me and my spouse. What does this mean and is this exiting news?- KSADK

My application was received on April 16. I called IRCC, they provided me with a temporary XF number. They informed me that info was entered on august 16. What does this mean for my application?- KSADK
