I don't think so, you may visit cic website see all draw since January 2015 and onwards..you will have better guess by yourself

They don't call every employer/for every applicant, in some cases they do visit work place. Sometime no call no visit only reference letter works. But no idea on what bases they chose the applicant for employment verification.
