Wow Chickie. That was a long delay after paying RPFF. I got the same advice you gave about trying to pay everything upfront or hopefully before it was requested to avoid such long delays and thankfully I took the advice. I am sure you will be hearing something very soon. Best wishes.

That's a surprising response since kgn VO didn't appear on strike action list! Surely the delays are noticeable and we know there had to be a reason! Trust that this will be cleared up soon so that persons especially those waiting for so long can hear some good news once and for all.

    Spousal sponsorship

Two years sounds unreal! Why would someone receive a PPR and then wait two years to get PP.That must have fallen in the cracks for that to have happened or something very serious came up after PPR. That's very discouraging to say the least.

Getting Landed while living in Canada

It's interesting you mentioned visa as I was just thinking the same thing for persons who don't have US visa. I do have one so I guess wouldn't need admin denial then? Do you know if I could still land at Buffalo (US/Canada border) as I know there was some close-down of that office last year...

Getting Landed while living in Canada

Hello (again) Sweden. Thanks so much for the advice. Seems like it will definitely be border for me. Didnt realise or had forgotten you landed from Canada too. I am in Ontario. Wonder if the Greyhound could bring me there - perhaps I could make a nice trip out of it especially if my spouse is...

Getting Landed while living in Canada

Pls join here if you're expecting to receive landing and are already living in Canada? Which option are you selecting - going to the border or a local CIC office to process landing documents? Do you know what you will be required to bring outside of COPR documents and passport? Is your spouse...

Support letters from family and friends for application

I believe you meant testimonials to confirm the genuineness of the marriage. I too got a few from various family and friends as per suggestion from someone who did the same. Mine wasn't totally necessary given our relationship and years of marriage and us living together etc but I thought it...

I am wondering if DM without PPR means PP will be returned very quickly - like in 2 weeks unlike those where DM is made after PPR. Keep your fingers and toes crossed Trudybuff that you will get your PPR this week, if not tomorrow!

Hi Chickie. Thanks for that awesome quote.I posted last night that Kgn hadn't replied to me despite sending them about two emails. Well just now I noticed they inbox me to say " Passport received and application at the final stage of process". So seems like someone was probably lurking, if they...

Thanks very much for this update as I was just speaking about it to a friend of mine since my passport is taking so long to be returned. I am happy the strike has not affected Kgn so I take it it's just the holiday mode that Kgn is in that's causing the slowdom!

LOL. I know what you mean. I emailed them once or twice but no reply my dear. It's almost a month now. Wonder if the foreign service strike is really affecting kgn? Also, I guess the summer holidays are also taking a toll on the speed of Kgn office.

This is an interesting read, particularly for those persons feeling down and discouraged right now. What is yours, will always be yours no matter the circumstance. God usually has three responses - Yes, Not right now, or I have something better in store for you. Just remember that! THIS IS A...
