No there is no difference by applying yourself or hiring anyone as long as you do proper paperwork and everything. Make sure about everything before sending it out otherwise they will return it all instead of asking for missing stuff.

Don't worry guys, Sometimes they don't update Ecas or did it after long time. My uncle had a sam case, his ecas was in process until he completed landing and then they updated both together decision made and landing complete.

I have seen that in few cases where they send acknowledgement about receiving passport but I don't think this is in every case and then every officer is different. i sent mine on 8 and there is no change in ecas and no notification. I think we should give them 2 to 3 weeks before starting worry...

I know brother this wait kills :( Plussa bro did you get PPR yet or not? I have seen some of cases where peiple get it via mail so keep checking your mail as well.
